How to Look Fire on the Night - Outfit Inspiration

Welcome to The Vale. You may be wondering how you got here. You took a left at the books, found a door and stepped into our magical world of friends, familiars and fantasy. You may meet your Fae Queen, Goblin King or even just a witch with iron teeth, why not stay a while and find out?

Valkyrie Vale started as a concept at the end of 2022 when a group of nerdy friends decided they could do fantasy events, such as balls, themselves with the hopes to bring fantasy events that we are truly proud of by listening to the fantasy community. The team that came together had a huge hand in running the first Faeball in the uk. Since then we have overcome every bump together and have come out stronger from it. You may be wondering what to wear for our ball! Well, we have several moodboards to help you gain an idea of our vision.

This ball is about rebirth and revival and what better way to do that than fire! Phoenix’s are reborn from fire, they burn fields to purify the crop and now Valkyrie Vale bursts From the Ashes anew!

Our biggest aim is to give a high-class, reinvented ball. Why go to something everyone else can do when you can come to us and get quests, vip boxes, potions, board games, a quiet space when things get a little too much, plus so much more!

We are very big on body positivity so there are various body types within our boards, and everyone can wear makeup, nails, ears, whatever your heart desires. We do not judge. Everyone deserves their fantasy night.

Hints and tips to aide your Outfit Inspiration:

If you’re on a budget, there are many places you can buy from, you don’t need to have a handmade dress that costs you 3 months wages for our event. You will still look phenomenal.

Charity shops are goldmines of accessories, dresses and things you can alter.

Ask in the charity shop if they have any wedding/prom dresses, you can dye them, edit them, add more to them.

Everyone will look different, if we were all the same, life would be boring. You are your own person!

You don’t have to be an elf, you can be an orc, goblin, gargoyle, satyr, raccoon, anything you want to be (humans welcome to)! We have had many a satyr and a few mushrooms.(not as stew…)

Build your costume around your tastes, you’ll be so much more comfortable.

If you’re going to build or wear wings, make sure they aren’t too big! We will be inside at this event, however, there may be more of an opportunity for bigger wings at future events!

Please remember that you don’t have to make anything yourself if you don’t want too! It’s not mandatory.

We love our ripped Jeans and comfy t-shirts too but this is a High-Fae event. We want to welcome you in but your clothes have been deemed an offence to our hospitality.
